This project is a three-part speculative field study that treats the forest as a living archive of folklore, where myth, memory, and perception blur into evidence.
Through illustrated field guide entries and fragmented diary texts, it reimagines global creatures as responses to the psychological and environmental conditions of wilderness. The work explores how fear and storytelling shape what is “seen,” positioning documentation itself as unstable and subjective.

This project is a three-part series consisting of a manuscript, a field guide, and an abstract deconstructed book. Each explores a different approach to narrative structure and visual form.
A range of grid systems was developed across the series—from rigid manuscript layouts to modular field guide structures and more fluid, fragmented compositions—while maintaining cohesion through consistent typographic hierarchy, spacing, and pacing.
